While looking for some inspiration for the webcomic I co-write
[link] and I became interested in the works of H.P. Lovecraft. I'm surprised I haven't earlier, the mixture of horror and science fiction with a side order of nihilism is just incredible. Purely out of interest (and to find a way to not do my homework), I began searching for the most powerful of these "Cosmic Horrors". As someone new to the genre, I initially thought it was Cthulhu. It was then I discovered Azathoth.
[link]It was not long after I noticed he resembled another deity I knew...
[link]Suddenly, it all made sense. Azathoth is the Flying Spaghetti Monster. The Pastafarians were right! I doubt I was the first to make this discovery, but I knew I had to share this knowledge with the world. The god or gods you may worship are but a speck on the cosmic scale. The whole universe, even reality itself, bends to the will of His Noodly Appendages...
